Business Studies

The course gives pupils the opportunity to explore real business issues and how businesses work. Students will consider the practical application of business concepts and business theories in marketing, operations, finance and human resources.

Pupils will gain skills in presentations, numerical data and a wide understanding of the business world. This can help them achieve their personal goals whether it is to A levels or into the working world so that they are well equipped for life beyond the classroom and Hurst Lodge.

We also use external trips and visiting speakers from a variety of businesses to enhance the curriculum. Past trips have included – BA, Mini factory, Jaguar and Mars.
